Fix Colorado Roads Act:
The 2018 Legislative Session began Wednesday, and state legislators are already hard at work setting their agendas for the 120-day session. One of the first measures to be introduced was SB18-001, or the “Fix Colorado Roads Acts”. If passed the measure, introduced by Republican Senators Baumgardner and Cooke, would appear before voters on their 2018 ballots and would authorize the state to issue more transportation revenue anticipation notes (bonds), without an increase in taxes. State of the State:
On Thursday, Governor Hickenlooper delivered his eighth and final State of the State address. In his address, Hickenlooper reflected on his past seven years in office and also outlined his agenda for his final term as Governor of Colorado. Hickenlooper spoke at length about the Gallagher Amendment and its affects on K-12 funding. Addressing the impacts of the Gallagher Amendment has long been on the top of the Governor’s agenda.
