Public Option Draft Bill Released
|
Yesterday, the draft legislation for the Colorado Affordable Health Care Option was released. The bill will require that all health insurance carriers in the state, that offer individual health plans, offer a Colorado option plan as developed by the commissioner of insurance. Within the draft bill, the department of public health and environment is authorized to impose a $50,000 per day fine and/or revoke the license of a hospital that does not participate in the public option.

Bill to Extend OEDIT’s Transferable Tax Credit Program
|
On Wednesday, March 11th HB20-1298 “Treat Economic Development Tax Credits Differently”, will be heard in the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee. This bill will extend OEDIT’s performance-based Transferable Tax Credit program and the Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit. The tax credits extended within this bill are a great tool for the state to attract and retain new business. Remote testimony is currently not available for the bill.
